The Support Scheme for Rural Specialists is an initiative of the Committee of Presidents of Medical Colleges and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. Each Specialist College contributes to the operation and management of the Scheme.

SSRS Calling for Project Applications

The Committee of Presidents of Medical Colleges is pleased to announce a further commitment of funds by the Australian Government to support Round Eight of the Support Scheme for Rural Specialists.

Letters have today been forwarded to all College Presidents and Chief Executive Officers formally announcing this.



Round Eight Guidelines for Accessing Project Funding

The SSRS is now calling for project applications under Streams A and B of the Scheme aimed at supporting the continuing professional development needs of specialists in rural Australia. Rural specialists are encouraged to liaise with their respective College with regard to future CPD project ideas. To assist the application for funding process under Round Eight of the Scheme, please view the following documents:

Applications for funding close at 5:00pm on Thursday 23 October, 2008.
